An artistic engagement with the paradigm shift of functional neurological disorder (FND)
Undoing Disorder, my ongoing dissertation research, aims to understand how recent advances in neuroscientific research matter for the everyday experiences of people living with FND. Patient organization FND Together served as a project partner, helping to recruit and shape the research process. I conducted interviews with adults living with FND across Canada about their health and healthcare experiences, and collaborated with some of these individuals to create artwork along these lines. A web gallery of the work is available to view here. I spoke with UM Today, CBC Radio One Weekend Morning (Manitoba), The Winnipeg Free Press, and CTV Your Morning Winnipeg about the project. Formal academic publications are underway.
